I always see requests for DBEDIT() stuff so I thought I'd share
these little routines with you. Eventhough [SysOpp] seems to take
it personally that someone might consider using a *DBEDIT(), I
understand that some of us have very valid reasons for using it.
Therefore I won't scold you. My client base is more that 75 now
of which 60 are S87 support. These clients are not going to pay
me to convert to 5.01. So life goes on.
Looking through some old S87 apps I found these DBEDIT() routines
that features:
1. Displaying subsets of records based on the current index key.
2. Populate the current GET with your selection.
3. Perform searches by typing the secondary search key at the
DBEDIT() line.
I converted the routines to 5.01 and put together a cheap demo.
Hope someone takes the time to chek it out. Some pretty
useful stuff here.
